Wipro Technical Interview Questions (with Answers)

1. What is the difference between C and C++?

Answer:
C is a procedural programming language, while C++ supports both procedural and object-oriented programming. C++ includes features such as classes, inheritance, and polymorphism that help in code reusability and modularity.

2. What is an object-oriented programming (OOP) concept?

Answer:
OOP is based on the concepts of classes and objects. It promotes principles like Encapsulation, Inheritance, Polymorphism, and Abstraction to make code modular, reusable, and easier to maintain.

3. What is the difference between Java and Python?

Answer:
Java is statically typed and requires explicit data type declarations, while Python is dynamically typed and easier to write with less code. Java is preferred for enterprise applications, and Python is popular for data science and scripting.

4. Explain the concept of inheritance in OOP.

Answer:
Inheritance allows a new class (child class) to acquire properties and behaviors of an existing class (parent class). It helps in code reusability and logical hierarchy creation.

5. What is normalization in databases?

Answer:
Normalization is the process of organizing data in a database to minimize redundancy and dependency. Common normal forms are 1NF, 2NF, and 3NF.

6. What is the difference between primary key and foreign key?

Answer:
A primary key uniquely identifies each record in a table, while a foreign key links two tables together by referencing the primary key of another table.

7. What is a deadlock in operating systems?

Answer:
A deadlock occurs when two or more processes are waiting for each other to release resources, causing all processes to remain stuck indefinitely.

8. What is a pointer in C?

Answer:
A pointer is a variable that stores the memory address of another variable. It is used for dynamic memory allocation and efficient array handling.

9. Explain the difference between GET and POST methods in HTTP.

Answer:
GET sends data via the URL and is used to request data from a server. POST sends data securely in the request body and is used to submit form data or upload files.

10. What is the difference between stack and queue?

Answer:
A stack follows the Last In, First Out (LIFO) principle, while a queue follows First In, First Out (FIFO). Stacks are used in recursion; queues are used in task scheduling.

11. What are joins in SQL?

Answer:
Joins are used to combine rows from two or more tables based on a related column. Types include INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, and FULL JOIN.

12. What are the basic concepts of cloud computing?

Answer:
Cloud computing delivers computing services over the internet, including servers, storage, and applications. Key models are IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

13. What is Agile methodology?

Answer:
Agile is a software development approach that emphasizes iterative progress, collaboration, and flexibility. Work is divided into short cycles called sprints.

14. What are data structures?

Answer:
Data structures are ways to store and organize data efficiently — such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, and graphs.

15. What are the differences between Array and Linked List?

Answer:
Arrays store elements in contiguous memory, providing faster access but fixed size. Linked lists use pointers, allowing dynamic resizing but slower access.
