TNPSC Recruitment 2022 | Apply online for District Child Protection Officer post
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the notification for recruitment to the post of District Child Protection Officer. The selected candidates will be placed in Social Defence Department included in the Tamil Nadu Approved Schools and Vigilance Service (Tamil Nadu Social Defence Service).
Eligible candidates can apply online from 01.04.2022 to 30.04.2022 @tnpscexams.in. The computer based examination for selection is scheduled on 19.06.2022.

- A degree in Sociology or Social Work or Psychology or Child Development or Criminology
- Preference shall be given to candidates possessing a Post Graduate degree in Sociology or Social Work or Psychology or Child Development or Criminology
- A Diploma or a Certificate course in Computer operations
- Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
Age limit: (as on 01.07.2022)
- SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: No Maximum Age Limit
- Others: 32 years (should not have completed)
- The maximum age limit for Ex-servicemen is 50 years.
Salary:
- The selected candidates will be placed at the scale of pay of Rs.56,100 – 2,05,700 (Level 22) (Revised scale).

Selection Procedure:
The selection is based on the performance in Written Examination and Oral Test (Interview).
Written Examination (Objective Type – Computer Based Test method) details:
- Paper-I Subject Paper (Degree standard) – 300 marks
- Paper II Part-A Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Std) – qualifying in nature
- Paper II Part-B General Studies (Degree Standard) and Aptitude & Mental Ability Test – 150 marks
- Interview and Records: 60 marks
Total: 510 marks
The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the written examination and oral test (interview) taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments.
Examination Fee:
- Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 200/-.
- There is also a One-Time Registration fee of Rs. 150/-. (valid for 5 years)
