Candidates must possess a degree in Arts or Science or Commerce and also a degree in Law of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

Minimum Age: 30 years (should have completed)

SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: No Maximum Age Limit

Others: 35 years (should not have completed)

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per State Govt. norms.

Salary:

The selected candidates will be placed at the scale of pay of Rs.37,700 – 1,19,500 (Level 20) (Revised scale).

Selection Procedure:

The selection is based on the performance in Written Examination and Oral Test (Interview).

Written Examination details:

Paper-I Part A: Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Standard)

Paper-I Part B: General Studies (Degree Standard) – 150 marks

Paper-II: Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 (Degree Standard) – 300 marks

Paper-III: Law (Degree Standard) – 300 marks

Interview and Records: 100 marks

Total: 850 marks

The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the applicants at the written examination and oral test (interview) taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments.

Examination Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 150/-.

There is also a One-Time Registration fee of Rs. 150/-. (valid for 5 years)
