Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has invited applications for recruitment to 95 Group ‘C’ civilian post (Engine Driver, Sarang Lascar, Fire Engine Driver, Fireman, Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade), Motor Transport Fitter, Store Keeper Grade II, Spray Painter, Motor Transport Mechanic, Lascar, Multi Tasking Staff (Peon) and Unskilled Labourer.

Qualification:

Engine Driver: Matriculation pass & Certificate of competency as Engine Driver

Desirable : Two years service as Sarang on a vessel of over four hundred Boat Horse power.  

Sarang Lascar: Matriculation pass & Certificate of competency as Sarang

Desirable : Two years experience as Sarang in-charge of a vessel of twenty Horse power.

Fire Engine Driver: (i) Matriculation pass (ii) Possessing heavy vehicle driving license with three years experience of driving heavy vehicles in any of private or Government Organisation/ Institute.

Desirable: (i) Experience with the use, maintenance and operation of different types of Fire Fighting equipments and appliances and (ii) Experience of working in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman.

Fireman: Matriculation pass

Motor Transport Fitter: (i) Matriculation or equivalent. (ii) Two years experience in automobile workshop.

Desirable : I.T.I. diploma in relevant trade.

Store Keeper Grade II: (i) 12th pass (ii) One year’s experience in handling stores

Spray Painter: Matriculation pass

Essential : Should have completed apprenticeship in the trade from Industrial Training Institute or other recognized institutions. Desirable : 02 years experience in the trade.

Motor Transport Mechanic: (i) Matriculation (ii) Two years experience in automobile workshop.

Desirable : I.T.I. diploma in relevant trade.

Lascar: (i) Matriculation pass (ii) Three years experience in service on Boat.

Multi TaskingStaff (Peon):  (i) Matriculation (ii) Two years experience as office attendant

Unskilled Labourer:  (i) Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognized Boards or ITI from recognized institutes. (ii) Three years experience in the trade.

Pay Scale:

  • PB-1 of Rs.5200- 20200 + Rs.2400/- (GP) (pre-revised) and Revised Pay Matrix Level 4, Rs.25,500/-: For Engine Driver/ Sarang Lascar
  • PB-1 of Rs.5200- 20200 + Rs.2000/- (GP) (pre-revised) and Revised Pay Matrix Level 3, Rs.21,700/-: For Fire Engine Driver
  • PB-1 Rs.5200- 20200 + Rs.1900/- (GP) (pre-revised) and Revised Pay Matrix Level 2, Rs. 19,900/-: For Fireman/ Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)/ Motor Transport Fitter/ Store Keeper Grade II/ Spray Painter/ Motor Transport Mechanic
  • PB-1 Rs.5200- 20200 + Rs.1800/- (GP) (pre-revised) and Revised Pay Matrix Level 1, Rs.18,000/-: For Multi Tasking Staff (Peon)/ Unskilled Labourer
