Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) has started the online registration process for the recruitment of Scientific Officers (Group A post of Govt. of India) through OCES-2022 and DGFS-2022.

Interested candidates can register online from 17.01.2022 to 11.02.2022. Last date for submission of online application is 12.02.2022.

BARC Training Schools provide two Training Schemes – OCES and DGFS.

OECS:

One-year Orientation Course for Engineering Graduates and Science Postgraduates for the academic year 2022-2023 (OCES-2022) will be conducted at the five BARC Training Schools situated at Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore and Hyderabad.

After successful training, candidates will be posted as Scientific Officers.

DGFS:

Under this scheme, Engineering Graduates and Physics Postgraduates, who have excelled in the Selection Interviews for the BARC Training Schools’ programs and who have also independently secured admission for M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engineering in select Institutes and specializations, are paid stipend and tuition fee to pursue a M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engineering degree while retaining their employment in (DAE Dept. of Atomic Energy).

On successful completion of M. Tech. / M. Chem. Engineering DGFS Fellows are posted as Scientific Officers.

Qualification:

B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) / 5-year Integrated M.Tech./ M.Sc. with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the concerned discipline

Age limit: (Maximum Age as on 01.08.2022)

General Category – 26 years,
OBC – 29 years,
SC/ST – 31 years,
Dependents of those who died in the riots of 1984 (Dep 1984) – 31 years,
Persons domiciled in Kashmir Division of Jammu & Kashmir State from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 (Dom Kashmir) – 31 years
Physically Challenged persons of all categories are – 10 years.

Pay Scale:

During the training period candidates are paid a stipend of Rs.55,000 per month during the period of their Training and a one- time book allowance of Rs.18,000.

After successful training, candidates will be placed in the Level 10 – Rs.56,100 of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix. The CTC at Mumbai will be approximately Rs.1,05,000/- per month.

Final Selection for the OCES/DGFS-2022 programs will be based solely on performance in Selection Interview,

Registration Fee:

There will be an application fee of Rs.500/- for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories.

Woman candidates, candidates belonging to SC/ST, candidates belonging to transgender, Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA) and Physically Challenged candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
