Name of the Post: Assistant Director of Town and Country Planning

Educational Qualification: (as on 25.02.2022)

• Post Graduate Degree in Town or City or Urban or Housing or Country or Rural or Infrastructure or Regional or Transport or Environmental Planning from a recognized University or Institute. (or)
• Must be an Associate of the Institute of Architects or possess B.Arch Degree or possess Degree or Diploma recognized and equivalent to the National Diploma in Architecture with experience in Town Planning (or)
• Must possess B.E Degree (Civil or Highway) with 2 years’ experience in Town Planning (or)
• Must have passed Sections A & B of the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) Examination in the Civil Engineering Group with 2 years’ experience in Town Planning (or)
• Must possess Bachelor of Planning or Bachelor of Technology in Planning from a recognized University or Institute with two years experience in the field of Urban or Regional Planning and
• Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

Upper Age limit: (as on the closing date i.e. 01.07.2022)

SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all categories: No Age Limit

Others: 32 years (should not have completed)

Age relaxation for reserved categories will be as per State Govt. norms.

Salary:

The selected candidates will be placed at the scale of pay of Rs.56,100 – 2,05,700/- (Level-22) (Revised Scale).

Selection Procedure:

The selection is based on the performance in Written Examination and Oral Test (Interview).

Written Examination details:

Paper-I: (28.05.2022 09.30A.M. to 12.30 P.M.) (300 marks)

Single paper consisting of the following subjects: (200 Questions)

• Town Planning (60%) (P.G.Degree Standard)
• Civil Engineering (25%) (Degree Standard)
• Architecture (15%) (Degree Standard)

Paper-II: (28.05.2022 02.00 P.M. to 05.00 P.M.)

Part-A Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Standard)

Part-B (General Studies) (100 questions) (150 marks)

General studies (Degree standard) – 75 questions and

Aptitude and mental ability test (SSLC standard) – 25 questions

Interview and Records: 60 marks

Examination Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 200/-.

There is also a One-Time Registration fee of Rs. 150/-. (valid for 5 years)
