Educational Qualification:

Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of this notification (13.10.2021)

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or veterinary Sciences or Bio- Chemistry or Microbiology or Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a Bachelor’s degree in medicine

(or)

Any other equivalent / recognized qualification notified by the Central Government.

Note: Candidate should have studied Tamil as one of the subject in HSC.

2. On the Home Page, click “Online Registration” to open up the On-Line Application Form.
3. Select the name of the post(s)
4. All the required particulars be entered without skipping any field.
5. Mobile number and e-mail ID are mandatory. All communication from MRB will be sent to the registered mobile number by SMS and registered e-mail ID ONLY. No Communication will be sent by Post.
6. Candidates are required to upload their scanned copy of colour photograph and, scanned copy of signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature. An online application is incomplete without the Photograph and Signature upload.

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates for the post of Food Safety Officer will be based on a written examination. The question for the exam will be set in English only and will contain 200 objective type questions. There will be no negative mark for the wrong answer. The syllabus for the exam is available in the Job Notification Document.

Duration: 2 hrs

Maximum Marks: 100

Minimum Qualifying Marks: SC/ SCA/ ST – 30; others – 35

Examination Fee:

• SC/ SCA/ ST/ DAP (PH) candidates: Rs. 350/-
• Other candidates – Rs. 700/-
• Mode of Payment: Online.
