Location: Odisha

Remuneration:

The scale of pay will be ₹44,900/- to ₹1,42,400/- in Level 10, Cell-1 of Pay Matrix of OSRP Rules, 2017 with usual Dearness and other Allowances.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Environmental Engineer:

B.E./ B.Tech./ A.M.I.E (Section A&B) with a minimum of 50% marks in the following streams:

• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Computer Science & IT
• Mining Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering &
• Electronic & Instrumentation Engineering

Assistant Environmental Scientist:

M.Sc. with the minimum of 50% marks in the following streams:

• Chemistry
• Geology & Geophysics
• Statistics
• Life Science
• Environmental Science & Engineering
• Environmental Science

Other requirements:

Candidates should be able to read write and speak Odiya and must have –

• Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odiya as medium of examination in non-language subject.
• Passed in Odiya as language subject in the final examination of Class VII from a school or educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government, and
• Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department.
• The candidates appearing the qualify exam i.e. B.E. / B. Tech/ M.Sc during the Financial Year 2022-23 need not apply.
• Candidates with additional qualifications like M.Tech, M.Phil, Ph.D and experience in the relevant field of Pollution Control will be given preference during selection process.

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit is 21 years and the upper age limit is 32 years as on 1^st January 2021.

Relaxation in upper age limit shall be allowed to candidates of different social/ special categories in the following manner:

• In case of SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen by 5 years
• In case of Persons with Disabilities by 10 years
• Persons with disabilities belonging to SC / ST categories are eligible for cumulative age relaxation benefit

Selection Process:

The selection process considers Career Marks, Written / Skill Test, Experience, Higher Qualification and Interview. The weightage of marks will be as per the following distribution:

Career Marks – 30 marks

Written/ Skill Test – 50 marks

Experience 3 years and above – 06 marks

Experience below 3 years – 00 marks

Higher Qualification – 04 marks

Interview – 10 Marks

Total: 100 marks

The break-up of marks for higher qualification and experience will be as follows:

Higher Qualification:

• M.Phil or M. Tech – 01 mark
• Ph.D – 03 marks
• Ph.D + M. Phil or M. Tech – 04 marks

Experience:

• Completed 03 years and above – 06 marks
• Below three years – 03 marks

Processing Fee:

The candidate are required to make Online payment of applicable Examination Fee (s) through SPCB, Odisha, portal using Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking facilities and other financial instruments enlisted in the payment page / Gateway.
