Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released notification for recruitment to 58 posts of Post Graduate Teachers under Science Streams in Group-‘B’ State Service for the Kalinga Model Residential Schools & Biju Pattnaik Adarsha Bidyalaya. Qualification:

Candidate must possess:

  • Master’s Degree in the subject concerned with minimum 50% marks in aggregate OR Two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. course from Regional College of Education NCERT in the concerned subject with minimum 50% marks in aggregate
  • B.Ed. or equivalent degree
  • Desirable Qualification: Degree or diploma in Computer Application

Age Limit: (As on 01.01.2021)

Candidate must not be above 32 years of age and under 21 years of age.

Upper Age Relaxation:

SC/ ST/ SEBC/ Women/ Ex-Servicemen – 5 years

Persons with Disabilities – 10 years

Persons with Disabilities belonging to SC/ ST/ SEBC  categories – 15 years

Method of Selection:

The selection of candidates for recruitment will be made on the basis of Written Examination (150 marks) and Viva Voce Test (50 marks).

The Written Examination will be of Object Type (Multiple Choice Questions). It will be covered in one paper consisting of 150 marks and 150 questions with 3 hrs duration. The paper consists of two parts.

Part-A (Compulsory): (Total marks: 50)

General English: 20 marks

Computer Aptitude: 10 marks

Pedagogy: 10 marks

General Knowledge: 10 marks

Part-B (Concerned Subject): 100 marks

Job nature: The Post Graduate Teacher posts are temporary but likely to be made permanent.
