Assistant Lineman/ Wireman:

No. of vacancies: 34

Salary: Pay Matrix Level-1

Educational Qualification:

Essential

• A certificate in Electrician trade issued by an appropriate authority under the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) Government of India or under the State Council for Vocational Training, Government of Goa.
• One year experience in the Electrical field.

OR

• A Certificate in Wireman’s trade issued by an appropriate authority under the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) Government of India or under the State Council for Vocational Training Government of Goa.
• Two years experience in Electrical field.

 OR

• Vocational Proficiency Certificate in the trade of Electrician issued by the Human Resource Development Foundation a Registered Society of Government of Goa.
• Three years experience in Electrical field.

OR

• A Certificate of successfully completing the training in “Electrician” / “Wireman” under the Scheme for Training of Rural Youth for Self Employment (TRYSEM) issued by the Rural Development Agency Government of Goa.
• Three years experience in Electrical field.

Knowledge of Konkani

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

Line Helper:

Educational Qualification:

Essential:

• Experience in working on construction of Electrical lines for a minimum period of 2 years.
• Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi

Age Limit: (As on last date of advertisement i.e. 05.12.2021)

Candidate must not be above 45 years of age.

Age relaxation will be as per Government rules for reserved category candidates and Government servants.

Job Nature:

The job is on temporary basis.

Mode of Selection:

• The candidate will have to undergo Skill/ Aptitude/ written test (examination), as applicable.
• Skill/ Aptitude wherever necessary may be considered for screening eligible candidates to be called for written examination and only qualified candidates shall be called for written examination.
• For category of Asst. Lineman/ Wireman and Line Helper only for candidates who pass pole climbing test held by this Department will be qualified for written examination.

Written Examination:

Assistant Lineman/ Wireman:

Subject I – Basic Electrical knowledge – 80 marks

Subject II – Communication skills and Current affairs – 20 marks   

Line Helper:

Subject I – Basic knowledge of construction of Electrical Lines- 80 marks

Subject II – Communication skills and Current affairs – 20 marks
