Qualification:

Social Security Assistant (SSA):

• Bachelor’s Degree
• A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 Key Depression per Hour (KDPH) / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word for Data Entry Work. Time allowed – ten minutes.

Stenographer:

• 12th class pass
• Dictation: Ten minutes at the rate of eighty words per minute. (Dictation will be computer based)
• Transcription: Fifty minutes (English) / Sixty-five minutes (Hindi). (Only on computer)

Age Limit:

• Between 18 and 27 years as on Closing Date of Online Application form with Age relaxation as applicable.

Pay Scale:

• Social Security Assistant (SSA): Level-5 (Rs.29, 200-92,300) in the Pay Matrix
• Stenographer: Level-4 in the Pay Matrix [Rs.25,500-81,100]

Selection Procedure:

Social Security Assistant (SSA):

Phase I Examination:

• Test Duration: 2 Hours and 30 minutes (150 Minutes)
• General Aptitude – 30 questions/ 120 marks
• General Knowledge/ General Awareness – 30 questions/ 120 marks
• Quantitative Ability – 30 questions/ 120 marks
• General English with *Comprehension – 50 questions/ 200 marks
• Computer Literacy – 10 questions/ 40 marks
• Total – 150 questions/ 600 marks

Phase II-Computer Skill Test (Computer Data Entry Test):

• Candidates will be required to appear for the Skill Test to assess speed and accuracy for Data Entry Work. A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer. (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) / 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word for Data Entry Work. Candidates short-listed for Skill Test will have to appear for a Skill Test.
• Computer Skill Test will be qualifying in nature.

Stenographer:

Phase I Examination:

• Test Duration: 2 Hours and 10 minutes (130 Minutes)
• General Aptitude – 50 questions/ 200 marks
• General Awareness [includes Computer Awareness] – 50 questions/ 200 marks
• English Language and Comprehension – 100 questions/ 400 marks
• Total – 200 questions/ 800 marks

Phase II Examination Skill Test in Stenography:

• The candidates who are shortlisted in the Phase-I Examination will be required to appear in the Skill Test for Stenography. Time allotted is as under:
• Dictation: Ten minutes at the rate of eighty words per minute. (Dictation will be computer based)
• Transcription: Fifty minutes (English) / Sixty-five minutes (Hindi). (Only on computer)
