Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has released the notification for recruitment to 8700 PGT, TGT and PRT posts. The selected candidates will be placed in the Army Public Schools (APS) located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India.
Eligible candidates can apply online from 07.01.2022 to 28.01.2022 @ register.cbtexams.in. The date of examination is 19th and 20th February 2022.

Name of the Post: PGT, TGT and PRT
Location: Tamil Nadu
Educational Qualification: (as on 24.12.2021)
PGT: Post Graduation and B.Ed. with an aggregate of 50% marks
TGT: Graduation and B.Ed. with an aggregate of 50% marks
PRT: Graduation and Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed with an aggregate of 50% marks
CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in the Online Screening Test. However, CTET/TET conducted by Centre/state government is mandatory for appointment as TGTs/PRTs.
Those not qualified in CTET/TET but found fit in all other respects may be considered for appointment on vacancies which may be Adhoc in nature till attainment of qualification.
Upper Age limit: (as on 01.04.2021)
Fresh Candidates: (Less than 5 years’ teaching experience):
Below 40 years (In the case of Delhi schools the candidate should be in the age bracket as per DSEA&R)
Experienced Candidates: (Those with more than 5 years teaching experience in the last 10 years)
Below 57 years (In the case of Delhi DSEA&R)
Salary:
The selected candidates will be placed at Central Government Pay Scales.

Selection Procedure:
The selection of Teachers will be done in three stages:
- Stage 1-Screening Exam
- Stage 2: Interview
- Stage 3: Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency
The Screening Exam will be conducted ON-LINE in the MCQ format. The questions will be randomly generated from a subject specific question bank.
Examination Fee:
Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs. 385/-.
