Qualification:

Candidate should have passed Degree examination or equivalent from a recognized University.

Candidate should have passed the speed test at 120 w.p.m in English and 100 w.p.m in Language (Assamese, Bengali and Hindi) conducted by the Board constituted and recognized by the Government.

Age:

Candidate must not be above 38 years of age and under 21 years of age as on 01.01.2021.

Upper Age Relaxation:

SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) candidates of Assam: 5 years (i.e. upto 43 years)

OBC/MOBC candidates of Assam: 3 years (i.e. upto 41 years)

For persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD): – 10 years (i.e. upto 48 years)

Mode of Selection:

The selection of candidates for recruitment will be made on the basis of Stenography Proficiency Test and Objective Type Written Test.

Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in Stenography Proficiency Test at 150 wpm in English and 120 wpm in Language (Assamese, Bengali and Hindi).

Candidates, who qualify in the Stenography Proficiency Test, will have to appear for the Objective Type Written Test.

The Objective Type Written Test shall be of 2 hours duration and total marks shall be of 100.  

• Details of Objective Type Written Test:
• English: 50 marks
• Knowledge and ability to operate Computer: 20 marks

The final selection list will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Stenography Proficiency Test and the Objective Type Written Test.
