Educational Qualification:

A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian medical council Act of 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part II of third schedule should also fulfill the condition specified in section 13(3) of the Act.)

A post graduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/ subject.

Additional qualification for Super Speciality disciplines:

D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical super specialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/ subject for surgical super specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Experience:

Professor: 11 to 14 years in teaching and/or research

Additional Professor: 07 to 10 years in teaching and/or research

Associate Professor: 03 to 06 years in teaching and/or research

Assistant Professor: 01 to 03 years in teaching and/or research

Upper age limit:

Professor/ Additional Professor: Not exceeding 58 years

Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 50 years

Age relaxation for reserved categories:

SC/ST: 05 Years

OBC: 03 Years

PwBD: 05 Years

Government Servant: 05 Years

Ex-Servicemen: 05 years

Pay Scale:

Professor: Level-14-A (Basic 1,68,900) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)

Additional Professor: Level-13-A2+ (Basic 1,48,200) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)

Associate Professor Level-13-A1+ (Basic 1,38,300) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only)

Assistant Professor Level-12 (Basic 1,01,500) and all usual allowance (Plus NPA for medically qualified candidates only) After three years, Assistant Professors will move to level 13 (Basic 1,23,100) of the Pay Matrix.
